My father, on the other hand, would play Arif Sağ in the mornings, and sometimes The Rolling Stones, sometimes Zamfir. On family trips, Ibrahim Tatlıses or Technotronic would be playing. There was every kind of music in our home, so I have never been able to separate genres. In my youth, I listened to bands such as Bon Jovi, Metallica, and Iron Maiden, and they are still among my favorites. At the conservatory, I experienced many branches of music such as classical music, opera, and folk music. The way to understand music is to observe it and discover its roots.”
